Underground and Aboveground Storage Tank Investigations

Hillmann Environmental Group provides a staff of trained and experienced professionals to respond to the comprehensive regulatory requirements of underground storage tanks (USTs) and above ground storage tanks (ASTS).

Prior to UST investigations, a health and safety plan is developed describing safety and emergency procedures associated with all activities during the UST investigation. Hillmann's project team then conducts a site visit to the specific location to obtain the following:

• All available underground piping and utility drawings;
• Information on the tank size, contents, age and construction; and
• Site condition evaluations.

State and local agencies are then contacted to ensure all registrations and permits are in place.

Should removal of the USTs be required, Hillmann develops the necessary specifications in accordance with applicable regulations.

During the removal operations, Hillmann provides on-site project supervision to ensure that each procedure performed by the UST removal contractor is done so in accordance with project specifications.
