Microbial Control Programs

As microbial issues gain greater attention and involve growing liability issues, it becomes necessary to anticipate and address the conditions which could lead to microbial amplification before a problem arises. Hillmann has written and implemented microbial control programs for hotels, office buildings and new construction projects. These programs have included proactive operations and maintenance programs, standard operating procedures, and construction documents for planning, design and operations.

Many of these programs have entailed easily followed guidelines, brief training of key personnel, and periodic monitoring to document effectiveness. The costs associated with these programs are generally quite low when compared to the risk issues they address. In order to obtain the most effective results it is prudent to initiate this planning as early in the process as possible.
