Hillmann is providing fungal and general indoor air quality consultation, inspection, and sampling for a confidential Medical Center with an insurance claim following the intrusion of water in the Emergency Room areas of the Hospital Building. Intense public relations and legal challenges require project oversight by Hillmann.
Remediation is in progress. The investigation of building materials to determine the extent of water damage through the Emergency Room areas of the hospital was completed to determine a scope of work for remediation and development of a technical specification to guide remediation activities. The scope of remediation includes keeping the Emergency Room as well as other patient care areas in operation while the remediation takes place.
Numerous Hillmann staff have provided project oversight as the remediation schedule is 24/7. This includes providing recommendations for interim management and abatement. Hillmann has provided air monitoring and tape, swab and bulk sampling throughout remediation and upon new discoveries.
The indoor air quality regulatory environment is not specific, requiring interpretation, and recommended application by Hillmann's Senior IH Consultants.
